Project Overview

Dazzle by Nowgem Jewellers was designed and developed by Isura Wickramarachchi in 2011 as the official online catalogue for Nowgem Jewellers, showcasing an exclusive collection of diamond jewellery, gemstones, rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, bangles, and necklaces.

Built using PHP/MySQL, the website enabled the company to manage its jewellery collections through an administration panel, making it easy to add, update, and organise products while providing customers with an elegant online browsing experience.

Design & Structure

The website featured a luxurious and elegant design using deep blue and white colour tones to complement the brilliance of diamonds and gemstones. A large curved banner displaying premium jewellery immediately established a sophisticated brand identity and created a premium first impression.

The homepage was carefully organised into two primary sections:

Left Content Area: A welcome message introducing the company, its history, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality jewellery.
Right Product Showcase: A dynamic grid displaying featured jewellery items with product images and reference codes, allowing visitors to browse multiple collections directly from the homepage.

The clean layout, generous white space, and carefully balanced typography ensured that the jewellery remained the focal point throughout the website.
