Project Overview

The Grand Moov Hotel website was designed and developed by Isura Wickramarachchi in 2007 as the official online presence for the Grand Moov Hotel, Dubai. The objective of the project was to create a modern hospitality website capable of showcasing the hotel's luxury accommodation while allowing visitors to make reservation enquiries directly through the website.

The project combined a custom-designed static website, an interactive Flash image banner, and a reservation availability form, providing guests with an engaging online experience that reflected the elegance of one of Dubai's growing business hotels.

Designed during the period when Dubai's hospitality industry was experiencing rapid international expansion, the website presented the hotel as a premium destination for both business and leisure travellers.

Design & Structure

The website adopted a clean luxury hotel interface inspired by modern Middle Eastern architecture.

The homepage is divided into three functional areas:

• Online Reservation Panel positioned prominently on the left, allowing guests to select arrival date, departure date, number of nights, and room occupancy before checking availability.
• Large Flash Image Banner displaying rotating interior photography of the hotel, creating a dynamic first impression.
• Welcome Content Area, introducing the hotel together with descriptive content and featured imagery.

The navigation bar across the top provides quick access to all major hotel services, while an additional vertical navigation menu highlights attractions, dining, concierge services, meetings, entertainment, and other guest facilities.

The colour palette combines white, silver, charcoal grey, and turquoise blue, creating a sophisticated appearance that complements the luxury branding of the hotel.

Rounded panels, soft shadows, and subtle gradients were carefully integrated throughout the interface, reflecting the clean, modern web design trends emerging in premium hotel websites during 2007.

Unique Design Concept
