Project Overview

The UVADES Consulting website was redesigned in 2006 by Isura Wickramarachchi, replacing the company's original 2004 website with a completely new visual identity and improved information architecture. The redesign was undertaken to modernize UVADES' online presence, better reflect its expanding consultancy services, and strengthen its professional image among corporate clients, development organizations, and international partners.

Developed as a static HTML website, the project presented UVADES' expertise in management consulting, business development, project management, SME development, business planning, capacity building, performance improvement, and training services through a clean and highly organized corporate interface.

Rather than simply updating the appearance of the previous website, the redesign introduced a more contemporary visual language while significantly improving navigation, readability, and overall user experience.

Design & Structure

The redesigned website features a minimalist corporate interface inspired by professionalism, sustainability, and organizational growth. Compared with the earlier 2004 version, the new design adopted a much cleaner and more refined layout, eliminating unnecessary visual complexity while improving the presentation of business information.

One of the website's most distinctive visual elements is the large green leaf positioned in the upper-right corner. The leaf symbolizes growth, sustainability, development, and continuous improvement—concepts that closely align with UVADES' consulting philosophy. Rather than being used merely as decoration, it became a central branding element throughout the website.

The homepage is organized around a structured service presentation. The left content area introduces UVADES' consulting capabilities through categorized service listings, while the right-hand navigation provides quick access to corporate information, selected projects, team profiles, and client communication.

The interface makes excellent use of blue, grey, white, and natural green, creating a calm, professional appearance that reflects trust, reliability, and long-term business partnerships.
