Election Campaign – Walpita, Homagama

As part of the grassroots activities conducted for the 2019 Sri Lankan Presidential Election, a door-to-door election campaign was carried out in the Walpita area of the Homagama Electorate on 10 November 2019.

Local campaign volunteers and supporters visited households throughout the area, distributing election campaign leaflets and awareness materials while engaging directly with residents.

The programme was intended to complement larger political rallies by taking the campaign directly to neighbourhoods and individual households. It provided an opportunity to communicate campaign information personally, engage with local residents, and strengthen grassroots participation during the final stages of the presidential election campaign.

Isura Wickramarachchi also participated directly in the programme, joining local activists in the door-to-door campaign and public awareness activities conducted throughout the Walpita area.
