Maths Box Donation – Mawathagama Maha Vidyalaya

On 2 April 2014, I took part in a donation programme at Mawathagama MahaVidyalaya, where Maths Boxes containing essential mathematical instruments were presented to schoolchildren to support their education.
The purpose of the initiative was simple but meaningful: to provide students with practical educational materials they could use directly in their schoolwork. The Maths Boxes were distributed individually to the students, providing them with useful tools for subjects such as mathematics and geometry.
Although a Maths Box may appear to be a small gift, educational materials can make a meaningful difference to a child, particularly when access to such resources is limited. Supporting students with the basic tools they need for learning was therefore an important part of this initiative.
Looking back, this remains a memorable occasion from the earlier years of my community and educational service activities—one of the many small efforts through which I hoped to support children and their education.
