A memorable occasion attending the wedding of Rohitha Rajapaksa (Chichi), the youngest son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, held in Weeraketiya on 23 January 2019.
The wedding was beautifully arranged with a strong reflection of Sri Lankan traditions and was attended by family members, friends and invited guests.
Having maintained a long-standing friendship and association with Mahinda Rajapaksa and members of the Rajapaksa family, it was a special experience for my wife and me to be present at this important family celebration.
We had the opportunity to extend our wishes to the newly married couple and share in the happiness of the occasion. These photographs preserve some wonderful memories from a very special day in Weeraketiya.
