Social Media Workshop – Nelum Mawatha 2018

On 18 January 2018, I took part in a Social Media Workshop held at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) office at Nelum Mawatha, organized for fellow social media activists.

The workshop mainly focused on introducing participants to the practical basics of creating social media posts using a mobile phone. The aim was to help participants understand how they could prepare useful digital content directly from their smartphones without depending entirely on a computer.

At a time when social media was becoming increasingly important in political communication, the workshop provided an opportunity to share practical knowledge and basic digital design skills with members involved in social media activities.

These photographs were taken during the workshop and preserve a record of an occasion where I was able to share knowledge connected with my experience in graphic design, web and digital media with fellow social media activists.
