Date: 9 October 2017
Location: National Freedom Front (NFF) Headquarters, Pitakotte, Sri Lanka
Programme: Facebook Live Public Awareness Session
On 9 October 2017, a special Facebook Live programme was conducted at the National Freedom Front (NFF) Headquarters in Pitakotte with the participation of Member of Parliament Wimal Weerawansa to discuss the proposed constitutional reforms that were being debated at the time.
The live discussion focused on explaining the key features of the proposed constitutional changes, their legal and political implications, and the concerns and viewpoints expressed by different stakeholders. The programme aimed to provide the public with accessible information and encourage informed public discussion.
Broadcast live through social media, the programme reached audiences both in Sri Lanka and among the Sri Lankan community overseas. Viewers were able to engage directly by submitting questions and interacting with the discussion in real time.
Our team was actively involved in planning the programme, coordinating the live broadcast, managing the technical aspects of the production, and supporting its promotion through social media, contributing to a successful digital public engagement initiative.
