Blood Donation Camp at Sri Punyaloka Viharaya, Watareka

On 21 March 2021, a blood donation camp organised by the Touch Your Heart Foundation was held at Sri Punyaloka Viharaya in Watareka.

The programme was conducted with the participation of healthcare personnel and blood donors, including Buddhist monks. The photographs also document the health precautions followed during the programme, which took place during the COVID-19 period.

The Isura Wickramarachchi Foundation contributed to the programme by recognising the generosity of the blood donors. Certificates of appreciation were presented by the Foundation to all those who donated blood that day.

For me, this programme represents another meaningful example of working together with another organisation for a humanitarian purpose. Supporting and recognising those who voluntarily donated blood to help others remains a valuable part of my social-service journey.
