Donating Colour Printers to Three Small Business Owners

Date: 17 April 2021
Project: Equipment Donation for Small Businesses

I had previously purchased three colour printers for an event I organised. After the event, I decided that rather than leaving the equipment unused, it would be more meaningful to give it to people who could continue using it productively.

Three individuals running small businesses who had a genuine need for printers were selected, and I provided each of them with a colour printer free of charge. I also donated a quantity of usable printer cartridges that remained with the equipment.

Although this was not a donation involving newly purchased equipment, it reflected an important principle in my social-service activities - making useful resources available to people who genuinely need them rather than allowing those resources to remain unused.

For me, this was also an example of how assistance to small businesses does not always have to take the form of financial support. Sometimes, providing the right equipment at the right time can help someone continue or strengthen their own livelihood.
