As part of the “Hadawathinma Daruwanta” initiative, an educational donation programme was carried out at Panakura Haradaha Junior School on 15 December 2021, with the aim of supporting children with some of the basic resources needed for their education.

During the programme, school bags and educational books were presented to the students. While these may appear to be simple everyday school supplies, having the necessary learning materials can make a meaningful difference to a child's school experience. Providing these resources can also help ease some of the financial burden faced by families in preparing their children for school.

The programme was about more than distributing donations. It gave us an opportunity to spend time with the children, interact with them and share their excitement as they received their new school supplies. Seeing their happiness made the occasion particularly memorable.

At the heart of “Hadawathinma Daruwanta” was a simple principle: to contribute, in whatever way we could, towards making a child's educational journey a little easier and more encouraging. This programme at Panakura Haradaha Junior School remains one of the meaningful educational support activities carried out with that purpose.
