THE STORY
Date: 28 October 2022
Venue: PVR Cinemas
On 28 October 2022, I visited PVR Cinemas to attend the grand premiere of the Sri Lankan film "Nimi".
With my long-standing interest in Sri Lankan cinema and my work to preserve information about Sinhala cinema through Films.lk, attending film premieres and related events has become part of my personal journey with the local film industry.
Watching "Nimi" at its grand premiere was another memorable occasion in that journey. These photographs from PVR Cinemas preserve a personal memory of the evening and form part of my continuing archive of experiences connected with Sri Lankan cinema.
