A Personal Memory at Wigton Estate, Rozella

The time we spent at Wigton Estate in August 2020 remains a beautiful personal memory connected with the period of the "Hadawathinma Daruwanta 2" school building project.

Surrounded by mist-covered tea estates, small streams and winding estate roads, we also had an opportunity to enjoy the remarkable natural beauty of the hill country during our time there.

For me, Wigton Estate became much more than simply a place I had visited. Through the school building project we undertook for the children of the estate, the area and its community became closely connected with an important chapter of my social-service journey. Because of that connection, even the quiet moments we spent among the tea fields have remained meaningful memories.
