Another Door to the World of Technology for Young Children

On 22 September 2022, another computer was donated through the “Hadawathe Sihinaya” Computer Project to the children of St. Theresa Primary School in Elpitiya, Galle District.

A large group of young students gathered for the occasion as the computer was formally handed over to the school. Once installed, it became another educational resource that could be used by the children as part of their learning.

This visit reminded me once again of something very simple but meaningful: children are the same wherever we meet them in our country. Their smiles, hopes and dreams for the future are equally precious. Seeing their happiness gave me an immense sense of joy.

A computer given to a school is more than a piece of equipment. For a child, it can become an opportunity to experience technology, discover new knowledge and become better prepared for the world ahead. My hope is that these young students will make use of that opportunity and look towards their future with greater confidence.

May these children see and build a brighter future.
