On the second day of the new year, I spent the afternoon and evening walking around the area surrounding the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), enjoying some quiet time in the city.
Walking through the open green spaces with Doha's modern skyline in the background was a refreshing experience. The large balloon in the area was also one of the distinctive sights I came across during the walk.
As daylight gradually disappeared, the surroundings took on a completely different character. The illuminated high-rise buildings and city streets created a striking nighttime view of Doha.
There was no special event or particular purpose behind this outing. It was simply an opportunity to walk, relax and enjoy the city. Yet these simple moments often become memorable ones, making this evening one of my personal memories from the opening days of 2026.
