Blood Donation Camp at Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama

Date: 31 January 2021
Venue: Apeksha Hospital - Maharagama
Organised by: 87 Born Official Facebook Community
Contribution: Isura Wickramarachchi Foundation
On 31 January 2021, a blood donation camp organised by the 87 Born Official Facebook Community was held at Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama.
A group of voluntary blood donors participated in the programme, contributing to the need for blood donations. The event took place during the COVID-19 period, with the blood donation process conducted with the assistance of hospital healthcare personnel.
The Isura Wickramarachchi Foundation also contributed to this initiative. To recognise the humanitarian contribution of those who voluntarily came forward to donate blood, certificates of appreciation were presented by the Foundation to every blood donor who participated in the programme.
This blood donation programme at Apeksha Hospital remains another meaningful part of my social-service journey. It provided an opportunity to support a worthwhile community initiative while also recognising the generosity of individuals who voluntarily donated their blood for the benefit of others.
