On October 14, 2011, I attended the OCIC - SIGNIS Film Awards Ceremony held at BMICH in Colombo.

The ceremony was an important occasion celebrating artistic achievements and contributions to Sri Lankan cinema, bringing together filmmakers, artists, and members of the cinema community.

As the founder and developer of Films.lk - Sinhala Cinema Database, which I established in 2009, attending film-related events held particular significance for me. Through Films.lk, I was already engaged in documenting Sri Lankan film history and preserving information about films, artists, and their contributions to the industry.

The photographs from the event capture moments from the awards presentation, the stage arrangements, and a group photograph with attendees. The images also carry the Films.lk watermark, reflecting my ongoing involvement in documenting cinema-related activities.

This event remains a meaningful memory in my personal archive, connecting my long-standing interest in Sri Lankan cinema with my efforts to preserve its history through digital technology.
